My 2017 Mazda 6 has gone through three sets of rear tires in two years. The inner edges wear down to the cords while the rest of the tire looks fine. I've had the alignment done four times at three different shops, and they all show everything in the green. I've replaced the rear control arms thinking maybe the bushings were worn, but the problem came back. A friend suggested that the rear shocks might be completely dead, causing the wheel to bounce excessively and scrub the inner edges unevenly.
