Every time you find one, the bounty bar nudges forward, so you can level the pass just by poking around and checking spots that other players sprint past. Along the way you often bump into side chests or random rare drops, which might push your build a bit further. That is stuff the speed crowd tends to miss because they are too busy teleporting back to the board every two minutes.
Leaning Into Tough Fights
Then you have the combat-first crowd, the people who already spent an evening tuning their build so enemies just melt. If that sounds like you, the Elite Hunts are where things get interesting. These tougher enemies hit harder and take longer to kill, but they spit out Bounty Tokens way more often than normal mobs. The catch is that you cannot walk in with random gear and bad resistances or you will just get flattened and lose time. When it works though, clearing a high-threat zone feels great and the progress bar jumps in big chunks instead of tiny nudges.
Most players seem to get the best results by mixing it up: run a few fast Ambercove loops, swap to an Elite Hunt when you are bored, then wander off to hunt down a new intel crate or hidden stone.
