About

Meet Jacqueline and David, who both operate in banking, and who celebrated their marriage around the 28 September in Glasgow. An old church turned restaurant, bar, and theatre space, with bags of lovely Victorian gothic revival drama.

Jacqueline’s exquisitely crafted dress would be a bespoke creation by, having a lovely, clean silhouette with long, floral lace sleeves and bodice, along with a sexy mid-back falling to some dreamy tulle skirt.

“I knew I wanted something having a classic silhouette, and loved the thought of having something made bespoke. The mid-back was an additional feature the designer considered to make the gown look more contemporary, and I think it ended up beautifully.”

“Photography would be very important to us, so locating the perfect individuals to capture our day would be a priority. We opted for The Gibsons and felt immediately confident with them. Chantal can also be from Canada (much like me) which would be a lovely surprise. We couldn’t recommend them enough.”

Jacqueline’s bridesmaids wore pink bridesmaid dresses, along with their shoes and accessories, and fresh flowers in their hair.

wove botanical magic throughout Jacqueline and David’s entire day, and I adore the bursts of fiery autumn color within the wild and unstructured bouquets, which included glorious orange South African protea, roses, dahlias, and hydrangea blooms, combined with greenery and meadow grasses, berries, waxflowers, ranunculus, love-lies-bleeding, and scabiosa.

There was more greenery on the signage, along with a colorful vase arrangement around the table where Jacqueline and David would sign the wedding register.

David’s nephews Jake and Matt played The Skye Boat Song on acoustic guitars as Jacqueline and her father, Marc, made their way on the aisle to start the ceremony.

“We met while I was visiting Scotland within the summer, on Tinder. He had great banter, and we kept in touch after I headed home to Vancouver. A few months later, I made the move over. We were together just for over a year along with a half before he proposed, in the end, were visiting Canada. Our wedding was planned for any year later.”

The couple’s Humanist celebrant was so that as they wrote their vows to one another, Maggie asked these phones include three things they loved about one another and three things they thought another needed to focus on.

“I was surprised that my favorite area of the day was the ceremony. It almost felt ethereal, and extremely important. We felt greatly in love.”

Following the ceremony, Jacqueline and David spent a while together strolling Glasgow’s elegant streets, and David wore a handsome highland dress having a fantastic green tweed jacket and waistcoat.

“Cake tasting was one of the highlights of wedding ceremony planning!”

I love the way the venue space transformed from a stylish ceremony and dining space throughout the day, to some brilliant place for any night of dancing, lit atmospherically with colored lights and fairy lights.

Words of Wedded Wisdom

“It would be the best day of your life so far, so don’t be worried about the little things. They will try to work themselves out within the end.”
