About

Soft pinks and greys along with a picturesque barn venue were the important thing ingredients for this stylish special day. Gemma and Owain were in the same school once they met. "Our first date ended up being to the cinema," says Gemma. "We both felt comfortable and made one another laugh", Owain proposed on 18th April 2019. "We have been together for eight many were in Wales on vacation," says Gemma. "I was completely taken by surprise and I could tell that Owain was very nervous!"

WEDDING DRESSES FEELTIMES

Gemma found her dream dress yourself in FeelTimes online store. "My first dress is made from a lightweight crepe material and incredibly simple and elegant," says Gemma. "It was what I wanted at the time and excellent. However, after having an infant, I felt differently about my body system and wanted a brand new dress. So, I went for an A-line lace wedding dress with thin straps that I loved. I was so glad I changed for this more bridal looking dress. I loved how princessy it helped me feel!"

A BEAUTIFUL VENUE

The couple married at Winters Barns in Kent. "It was the foremost and only place we visited," says Gemma. "We had researched venues on the internet and then fell deeply in love with it personally. The staff were also super helpful and never pushy whatsoever. Thanks to Covid delays, we eventually got married on our third date, the19th October 2021!"

THE BIG DAY

"Myself and my bridal crew stayed overnight at Broome Park, the industry lovely venue," says Gemma. "We then got ready within the bridal room at Winters Barns, which was like a big salon. It was this type of lovely experience to obtain ready along with no stress."

"It was raining whenever we woke up so, following a quick message to my fiancé, we decided we'd have our ceremony inside, in case! However, the elements brightened up and we were able to obtain some lovely pictures outside, too."

"My dad walked me on the aisle to 'Marry Me' by Train. We also had two readings by Owain's family. The most special area of the ceremony was having our six-month-old young girl be part of it."

After the ceremony, there have been drinks, canapés and a lot of photos, then a delicious three-course meal. "In the evening, more guests arrived and we cut our cake coupled with the first dance," says Gemma.

"Our song was 'Stuck on You by Lionel Richie, once we had heard it played on a journey together in 2018. It was also among the songs we'd play to obtain our baby girl to rest, but still is!"

BLUSH PINKS AND GREYS

The colour theme was blush pink and grey. "We chose it together effortlessly," says Gemma. "We wanted classy and straightforward, which I think was achieved using the decor. The food served was pork loin or chicken with delicious dauphinoise potatoes. Guests also were built with a choice between two menus for every course, that was perfect."

"Owain's auntie made our wedding cake also it was just so beautiful," says Gemma. "It would be a three-tier, semi-naked cake in chocolate, lemon and Biscotti. We also had favours produced by Owain's mother in cute little heart-shaped boxes, which opted for our theme. In the evening there would be a DJ plus some games/colouring for the children, which transpired a treat."

"My most memorable moments were the very first time I saw my father and also giggling at the altar with Owain," says Gemma. "Also, I loved having time just for the two of us, while I fed the infant, and also the lovely speeches by our families."

MY TOP TIPS…

"My top tip is always to relax and try and relish the day," says Gemma. "Let others help before and during the marriage. Also, most significantly, make time to be only the two of you, even when it's just for 10 minutes. So you can soak everything in!"
