EA Announces Madden 22 Updates for Franchises Still Becoming a

  • In spite of rumors that were circulated on social media earlier in Mut 22 coins the week EA plans to announce two more updates to Madden 22, which will feature a franchise-based mode. They will also reiterate what it says is its commitment to Madden as a live service game.

In a recent statement, EA Sports told IGN:

We do not like to discuss rumors or speculation; however, we're committed to enhance Franchise as a component of the ongoing Madden NFL 22 live service and beyond. This includes two coming Franchise updates that we'll deliver in Madden NFL 22. We'll be providing more information about the updates during the new year.

The statement follows a report from Sports Gamers Online that EA has decided to stop any further Franchise mode update for Madden 22. It partly cited IGN's own discussion with Madden 22 Executive Producer Seann Graddy, who admitted that this year's schedule is "slightly less ambitious than years past" because the team is focused on a few key areas rather than trying to release items on the size of Superstar KO, a well-received arcade mode launched with Madden 20.

"I would say [the roadmap may be a bit less ambitious than previous years since we're focusing on a handful of core elements that are the core of Madden 22 and also getting established on Madden 23 in a big way," Graddy said at the time. "So I'm sticking to what we've been saying for the last two years: we're a live service and we'll continue to update Madden, however we're definitely not going to be talking about a brand new mode."

The report garnered attention due to the fact that franchise mode is a source of irritation for certain Madden players. Indeed, the promised roadmap was initially a response to mmoexp madden 22 coins the #fixmaddenfranchise campaign that circulated Twitter between mid-2020. It was initiated following reports that EA was not planning any improvements to franchise mode.
