Polhawn Fort, Torpoint in Cornwall is our destination today, for that wedding and on 6 January 2018. The couple, who met backpacking in Thailand in 2010, wanted a personal, coastal-inspired day inspired by the natural scenery. This Cornish hideaway, using its secluded beach, was an ideal venue.

Katy's selection of gowns would be a feminine, elegant design. It features the most amazing, high-necked sheer overlay embroidered with leaves layered on the fitted bodice. The floating bohemian wedding dress has this type of romantic, boho vibe too which fits in so well using the natural coastal setting.

"I got a good deal by buying a sample from in Auckland. Beautiful fabric and thus comfortable; I just loved it completely."

For a relaxed belief that was still elegant, the bride's hair was styled right into a half-updo with a messy fishtail plait. Her make-up was polished and complicated, applied by.

Mrs. Wittcomb carried an opulent bouquet of muted green foliage, styled by a local florist. The same leaves adorned the venue for any wild, unstructured look.

The wedding occurred in the Fort's hall which was simply but beautifully decorated with bundles of foliage, white tulle curtains, and fairy lights for any magical, intimate feel. The bride entered together with her father to Bonobo's beautiful instrumental 'Prelude'.

"How lovely it had been to have both our families within the same room together. It made us both happy and feel loved."

After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests headed towards the January sun for many group photos and intimate couple shots around the seashore. I love the wild and relaxed feel of those photographs particularly, using the low rays from the sunshine illuminating the pair.

"We met whilst backpacking in Thailand this year. We discontinued and traveled in various directions. We got together officially after we were home in 2012 and also engaged in Mount Taranaki, New Zealand in 2017."

Mr. Wittcomb wore a crisp blue suit by a New Zealand tailor, adding a pocket square along with a warm golden tie.

Back within the Fort, your guests enjoyed a candle-lit wedding breakfast, seated around long tables.

I love the intimate and magical atmosphere created through the fairy lights and low arches. The favors were Paua shells, brought from New Zealand.

The three-tier semi-naked cake was developed by a Cornish cake baker and decorator and decorated simply with trailing foliage.

"I love the appearance and taste of those cakes."

The couple come up with a playlist of their favorite music and built it with a first dance to 'What A Wonderful World' by Sam Cooke.
