An Intimate and Glamorous Scottish Castle Wedding

About

Meet Laura, an IT Business Manager, and John, a Cloud Technology Engineer. They celebrated their marriage in 2018 around the outskirts of Aberdeen.

"We wanted an area that looked and felt magical. Ardoe was simple to travel to and in a position to host our big day from start to finish. Their rooms are comfy, and they've several bars and restaurants plus a spa and gym (all around the grounds). The staff were super helpful and were in a position to accommodate our every request."

Laura wore a glamorous ball gown wedding dress, with subtle sparkle within the embellished tulle bodice, which she chose in, Texas.

When everybody was ready, the time had come for Laura and John to step outside for their emotional first look, so wonderfully captured by Ash Powell, before they walked on down the aisle together to start their ceremony.

"We were friends in senior high school but never dated. It wasn't until wIs at (separate) colleges, across the nation, that people met support over a holiday getaway."

"John and I dated long-distance for 4 years after which decided to relocate together. We dated for thirteen years before our two-year end 2."

"After several pints, John proposed in Edinburgh while watching Writers' Museum on the cool, misty September night."

Laura's bridesmaid wore a stylish gown by h shoes with a gold heirloom necklace.

Their ceremony was conducted by Assistant Registrar, Ann Fletcher, plus they chose to keep their vows one to the other simple, instead of exchanging personally written vows one to the other on their first anniversary (such a lovely idea!).

"John and I wanted our vows to become special but didn't want to necessarily read them before our guests."

"We found our vows on the internet and we knew these were perfect because both of us features the first time we read them. They spoke about respect, support, growing together, and the importance of treating one another as equals."

These images are by phone, and whose exquisite work we've had the pleasure of featuring I love Ash's painterly utilization of light here; it can make for an assortment of dramatic yet intimate images.

"She includes a wonderful contagious-up that made us and our guests seem like she only agreed to be part of the group. Despite the full schedule of a big day, Ash always made sure I was in the right place at ate right time to be able to capture an ideal picture using the best lighting."

"She ensured that our day was perfect and that we can not thank her enough for yours. That perfection is reflected in her beautiful photography."

"Our of our day was being in a position to share it with friends. We also had a wonderfully fun time likely to Dunnottar Castle and taking pictures with this photographer."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Stay true to what you would like. In this situation, it's okay to become selfish. There are going to become a lot of opinions and you simply have to remember what (and who) your day is about."

"You will not be in a position to please everyone, so why wouldn't you make sure you (as well as your husband) are content and happy in the end during the day."
