A Micro Wedding

About

This year has proven so desperately for a lot of thousands of couples unsure how to handle their original wedding plans. There's one thing for sure, we're likely to be seeing a lot more small, intimate, 'micro' weddings for a while yet.

Nurse and Mechanic decided they desired to push their wedding celebrations to 2021 but get married this season, so they did, having a beautiful, sunny ceremony on the 11th of July held.

"We had always liked the thought of a small wedding so took the choice to have a little legal ceremony this season on the original date and move our main wedding celebration to the coming year, celebrating our twelve months anniversary using the proper wedding party we'd always planned. Even then, we couldn't make sure our new plans may even go ahead until per week before."

"All our suppliers happen to be nothing short of amazing helping us pull together our little ceremony at short notice. Our wonderful florist and friend made an attractive wildflower bouquet picked completely from her garden."

"Tom and I met nearly six years back. We got engaged last April within our favorite spot overlooking Derwentwater within the Lake District-something Tom has been planning (apparently) since we took our first holiday there about nine months in."

"We wanted the day to feel informal and chilled. We love being outdoors so to possess a formal wedding would not feel like us."

"We planned our day around things we felt essential, like Tom arriving on his Harley Davison, together with his Dad and Best Man. Tom is growing up around bikes but still lives on his. Having our dog Chevy there and being part of your day." Click

"With it, as being a smaller wedding we desired to feel relaxed and comfy – Tom wore his Levi's as well as an Elly Cattleman shirt he available on eBay because he loves that style. I went for wedding dresses online I found at feeltimes.co.uk."

"I might have had my Dad walk me on the aisle, however, due distancing it wasn't possible, so Tom and I chose to walk over the station platform into the ceremony room together."

Because of social distancing, just the couple, Registrar, as well as their witnesses, were present in the small room where their ceremony happened in. The lovely weather around the day enabled their other guests to become present in the proceedings by standing away from the building and using the door open.

"I have known, before getting engaged that Simon and SJ could be our wedding photographers. I have recommended them to a lot of friends and family who've used them for their weddings. I just love their style as well as their focus on nature photography."

"They fully realize how to make you appear good! We aren't naturally camera-friendly, we should have driven them mad messing about and moving our wedding dates, however, they put us at ease making us feel at ease and I think it shows within the photographs. We could not have access to ask for better."

"As much stress and upset this has caused, I truly loved our day and wouldn't change anything. After having food and drinks within our garden with these guests, once everyone had left, Tom and I sat by our fire bowl, drinking, just me and him – it only agreed to be the perfect method to end your day."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"For all of the COVID couples whose day continues to be disrupted, I could not recommend a little ceremony enough! Understandably, it isn't for everybody, however in doing so, you're not giving up on your special day – you’re getting the best of both."
